DULUTH, GA - Committed to developing and elevating leadership from within,
Georgia United Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Bob
Bogart to an executive vice president role.
Effective October 1, 2023, Bogart now serves as executive vice president/CFO and is responsible for the
credit union’s finance, accounting, risk management and legal functions.
This role reports to Georgia
United President Laura King.
Bogart, who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), joined Georgia United as CFO in 2016, and under his
watch the credit union’s assets surpassed the $2 billion mark for the first time. His recent
accomplishments include leading Georgia United’s merger with North Main Credit Union of Cornelia,
Ga., which became official this month.
“Bob's exceptional financial acumen and unwavering commitment to our organization's success have
resulted in many achievements including a robust balance sheet and firmly positioning us for sustained
growth in the future,” said Georgia United CEO Debbie Smith. “His accomplishments showcase our
dedication to financial stability for our members. In Bob's expanded role as an executive vice president,
he will continue driving financial excellence.”
With more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry, he applies his expertise by serving as a
guiding voice on Georgia United’s Credit Committee, Loan and Deposit Pricing Committee, Business and
Commercial Loan Review Committee and is an official Board Advisor of the credit union’s philanthropic
arm, Georgia United Foundation.

Bogart received a Bachelor of Science in business administration with majors in accounting and finance
from Northeastern University.
