    Get Started Today!

We're Here To Help You.

Georgia United is offering assistance to members whose pay has been impacted by the government shutdown. During this time of uncertainty, we've developed the following programs to help members and their families meet their financial obligations:

  • Personal Loan Discount
  • Skip-A-Pay

To receive assistance through these programs, you must be a Georgia United Credit Union member and provide a copy of your furlough letter.

Personal Loan Discount

If you're in need of a paycheck replacement during the shutdown, Georgia United is offering a discount on personal loans. Borrow up to one month of your net pay, and, if approved, receive a 3% discount off the standard interest rate (determined at time of approval). This unsecured, fixed loan must be repaid within 12 months.

Guidelines:

  • Member must apply to determine eligibility
  • Member may request up to one month of their net pay and must provide verification of income at the time of approval

Please contact Georgia United at 888.493.4328, option 2 to apply and determine eligibility.

Skip-A-Pay

Skip your payment on eligible loans and credit cards this month and we'll waive the fee.

Skip-A-Pay is available for all loans except: Home Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit, Personal Lines of Credit, business loans, CURE loans, Indirect Auto Loans, Lender Protection Program loans, student loans and past-due loans.

Please contact Georgia United at 888.493.4328, option 2 if you are interested in skipping a payment.

*All Skip-A-Pay requests are subject to Georgia United approval. Interest and finance charges will continue to accrue. Deferring your payment will extend the term of your loan(s). Your payment(s) will resume, as required by your loan agreement, the following month. If you elected GAP coverage, the coverage may not be extended beyond the original maturity date (please review your GAP disclosure). If you make your Georgia United loan payment automatically from another financial institution, it is your responsibility to cancel/postpone your payments.
