Georgia United Credit Union Donates to Four Local Community Food Banks
DULUTH, GA – Georgia United Credit Union is helping fight food insecurity in their local communities through their #FightHunger challenge. The credit union pledged to donate one dollar to local food banks for every fight-hunger post made on their Facebook page. On October 15, a total of $5,000 was distributed among four local community food banks.
- Atlanta Community Food Bank - $2,000
- Laurens Baptist Association - $1,000
- Dalton’s Greater Works - $1,000
- Food Bank of Northeast Georgia - $1,000
Ben Burgess, manager of corporate relations at Atlanta Community Food Bank, “Thank you Georgia United for this donation it will cover the cost of 8,000 meals to families who are facing food insecurity within the community.”
