Georgia United Credit Union Awarded 2021 Top Workplaces Woman-Led Culture Excellence Award

DULUTH, GA Georgia United Credit Union is honored to receive the national 2021 Top Workplaces Woman-Led Culture Excellence Award by Energage, an employment research and consulting firm, who conducted the survey and used employee feedback to determine the Top Workplaces.

The Woman-Led Award is given to organizations led by females who have a commitment to creating positive impacts and a people-first culture. This accomplishment is a direct result of the 85 percent of team members submitting their surveys with over 1,000 comments to Energage.

Debbie Smith has been with Georgia United for more than 20 years, serving in several executive roles before being appointed CEO in 2013.

During her tenure as CEO, Georgia United has grown from $950 million to $1.8 billion in assets and the Georgia United Foundation was established, impacting many community needs. Georgia United has received local, national and international acclaim for excellence in community service, social responsibility, products, services, being the “Best Of” in specific Georgia neighborhoods and being a top workplace for seven consecutive years to name a few.
