Georgia United Credit Union Relocates Downtown Atlanta Branch to Marietta Street
DULUTH, GA - To better serve members that work, live and play in downtown Atlanta, Georgia United Credit Union has moved its former Whitehall Street branch to a new full-service facility in the city’s bustling convention, sports and entertainment district.
The new 2,600-square-foot space at 101 Marietta Street, Suite 140 opened for business on April 8. It incorporates the contemporary design and layout elements of Georgia United’s branch transformation strategic program that is redefining the banking experience for members.
Instead of waiting in teller lines, members can conduct an expanded array of self-service banking transactions by using four on-site ATM + terminals, and/or they can also meet individually with Georgia United member consultants that can help with a variety of account needs and financial matters. This new banking center also provides 24-hour sidewalk access with its exterior ATM + station.
“We know that members want fast, efficient transactions accompanied by personalized service, and that is what we deliver at this new – and for that matter, every – Georgia United location,” said Vice President of Retail Sales Vickey McNeany. “We think our members are going to love the modern, upgraded location on Marietta Street from the moment they step inside. Members can choose their journey, whether it be self-service, discovery of new products and services, financial advisement or a combination.”
The former Whitehall Street location closed at the end of the business day on April 5, but the same friendly, knowledgeable Georgia United team transferred to the new locale and are available to build relationships and provide expert guidance for members, from opening accounts to applying for loans.
Relocating the downtown Atlanta branch is part of Georgia United’s current growth strategy. In addition to the new Marietta Street location and ongoing renovation of the branch network, Georgia United recently opened a micro-branch in Chamblee. Also, there is a new Cumming branch under construction, a merger with North Main Credit Union added a branch in Cornelia and a new branch is planned in suburban Savannah that will connect Georgia United’s network from the coast to the capitol.
