Georgia United Credit Union appoints Fieldale Farms executive to Board of Directors
DULUTH, GA - Georgia United Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Chosewood to the organization’s Board of Directors.
With extensive experience in the finance industry, Chosewood brings a wealth of expertise to Georgia United as she begins her term as the tenth member of the Board of Directors.
Chosewood serves as vice president and corporate treasurer for Fieldale Farms Corporation, headquartered in Baldwin, Ga. She previously served on the board of North Main Credit Union in Cornelia, which merged with Georgia United in 2023. As a result of that merger, employees of Fieldale, one of the largest independent poultry producers in the world, are eligible for Georgia United membership.
She is a beacon of the Northeast Georgia community, volunteering with numerous civic and economic development organizations as well as within the poultry industry.
“We are elated to tap into Amanda’s expertise and her knowledge and deep connections within the Cornelia area and communities in Habersham and Banks counties,” said Georgia United Board Chair Tom Dickson. “I am grateful for all of our board members’ commitments to fulfilling Georgia United’s purpose to enrich lives and putting our members first.”
Serving as member advocates, Georgia United’s volunteer Board of Directors work closely with the credit union’s leadership team to set policy, monitor risk and guide the execution of the organization’s strategic plan.
Chosewood earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from University of Georgia and embarked on a 15-year career in banking before joining Fieldale in 2013. When she is not working and volunteering, Chosewood and her husband enjoy traveling, golfing and spending time with Rudy, their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
