Go Green with E-Statements
An easy way to help improve our planet is by reducing the amount of unnecessary paper we generate. Switching to E-Statements is an environmentally friendly way to eliminate paper waste while increasing your security against identity thieves. If you haven’t enrolled in E-Statements yet, these five benefits of going paperless may make you want to reconsider.
Reduces Identity Theft Risk
Mail fraud is a common method thieves use to steal your identity. E-statements will remove the worry that your statements may be delivered to the wrong address or stolen from your mailbox. Your statements can only be accessed by you with a secure password that you create.
Offers Convenient Access
Whether you’re on the go or relaxing at home, you can view your statements and account activity any time online or with our mobile app. You also have the option of downloading and saving your statements to your computer or printing at home if needed.
Cuts the Clutter
With paperless statements, you no longer have to worry about losing a statement or accidently leaving a paper trail for identity thieves. Plus, it eliminates sorting, filing and later shredding documents that accumulate throughout the year.
Helps the Environment
Going paperless has a positive impact on the environment by reducing the greenhouse gases produced in the paper manufacturing process. Statistics provided by Iron Mountain® show that by eliminating just one ton of paper, 17 trees (each 50 feet tall), landfill space of three cubic yards and 20,500 gallons of water are saved.
